Lazybrook Gardening Club Meeting – Jan 21

The January Lazybrook Garden Club meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21st.

Location: The meeting will be held at the home of Marc and Melissa Cougle, 2110 Millwood
Time: The meeting with begin with a social starting at 6:30PM and the formal meeting will begin at 7:00PM.

The agenda for this month’s meeting with include:

  • Welcome Roundtable
  • Status on the TC Jester Median – Response/Updated from TXDot
  • Topic: Reforestation
  • Special Guest: Dennis Woodward – Featured in The Leader, KHOU and other outlets for his dedication to reforestation in TC Jester Park

Wanted: Volunteer to host upcoming Garden Club meetings

Due to the predicted weather being forecast for the evening of January 28th, we will postpone the Lazybrook Civic Club meeting until Tuesday February 4th.

Christmas Caroling in Lazybrook

Events

Lazybrook Moms Group is hosting a Children’s Christmas Caroling between 6pm-7pm on Friday December 13. The carolers will be singing their way down Brookmere, starting at Millwood. Everyone is invited out to watch or join in the festivities.

If anyone that lives on Brookmere that would like for the caroling kids to stop by please send your house address to jaymeut@gmail.com. Please pass this along to neighbors that do not have email.

Daylight Savings Ends (Fall back)

Daylight Saving Time (or summertime as it is called in many countries) is a way of getting more light out of the day by advancing clocks by one hour during the summer. During Daylight Saving Time, the sun appears to rise one hour later in the morning, when people are usually asleep anyway, and sets one hour later in the evening, seeming to stretch the day longer.
