Trees for Houston will be in the park on January 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. supervising volunteers who will be pruning and trimming about 30 of the Seamist trees. Jaycee Park Update – Trail Completed and more!
Thanks to a generous grant from the Kinder Foundation, the .4 mile trail is now complete. It winds around the perimeter of the entire park and is out of the way of the busy traffic on Seamist and Grovewood. Eventually, it will even feature several pieces of exercise equipment! Also basketball and tennis courts coming soon...

Jaycee Park Update
50 volunteers came together ready to plant over 150 trees. After a breakfast provided by realtor, Sharon Ettinger, and a brief tree planting demonstration by one of the foresters, we went to work and planted all the trees in about an hour and a half! We had volunteers from Timbergrove, Lazybrook, Heritage Creek, Timbergrove Point, Oak Forest and even 1 from Spring Branch that read about the planting in the newspaper and 2 from Humble that work in the area...

It is hard to believe, but just 1 1/2 years since our first meeting, construction at Jaycee Park has begun!!!!! The work they are doing at the park today is the silt fence, which is to prevent construction sediment and debris from running into the storm water system. It will remain up for the duration of the water playground project...
